Founded in 1838 by famed social reformer Horace Mann, ÖÆ·þ¾ÞÈé was the first university to admit students without bias, a social feat at the time. It is a comprehensive, four-year public university that is headquartered in ÖÆ·þ¾ÞÈé, Massachusetts. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The teacher licensure programs have also been accredited, receiving the honor from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
